چکیده

Amorphous silicon is a good semiconductive material for many applications. It is a member of the large class of silicon compounds which comprise silicon clusters, silane oligomers, poly(siloxanes), and poly(silanes). The last mentioned polymers are of considerable interest because of their unusual electrical and photoelectrical properties. It has been shown that in these polymers the effect of σ-electron delocalization is strong and charge carrier transport can proceed along the Si backbone. Because of high charge mobility these polymers are suitable for the preparation of electrically active composites. In this paper we report the influence of dipolar species on charge carrier mobility in polysilane composites. The decrease of the mobility is mainly caused by the increase of deformation energy of polysilane backbone. This problem is discussed as well.

Effect of Silicon Carbide and graphite additives on the pressureless Sintering mechanism and microstructural characteristics of Ultra-High Temperature ZrB2 Ceramics Composites

The effect of SiC content, additives, and process parameters on densification and microstructural properties of pressureless sintered ZrB2– (1–10 wt %) SiC particulate composites have been studied. The ZrB2–SiC composite powders mixed by Spex mixer with 1-2wt% C (added as graphite powder) and CMC have been cold-compacted and sintered in argon environment in the temperature range of 1800–2100ºC ...

The Comparison of MgO and TiO2 Additives Role on Sintering Behavior and Microstructures of Reaction-Sintered Alumina-Zirconia-Mullite Composite

Alumina-Mullite-Zirconia ceramic composites were prepared by reaction sintering of alumina, zircon mixture and the sintering aids of magnesia and titania at temperatures of 1400 and 1600 C for 2 hours. The development of different phases and microstructures of the composites were analysed to assess the relative influence of the additives on the formation of alumina-zirconia-mullite compos...

Controlling Na diffusion by rational design of Si-based layered architectures.

By means of density functional theory, we systematically investigate the insertion and diffusion of Na and Li in layered Si materials (polysilane and H-passivated silicene), in comparison with bulk Si. It is found that Na binding and mobility can be significantly facilitated in layered Si structures. In contrast to the Si bulk, where Na insertion is energetically unfavorable, Na storage can be ...

Method of intermediate problems in the Fröhlich polaron model

Method of intermediate problems in the theory of linear semi-bounded self-adjoint operators on rigged Hilbert space was applied to the investigation of the ground state energy of the Fröhlich polaron model. It was shown that various infinite sequences of non-decreasing improvable lower bound estimates for the polaron ground state energy can be derived for arbitrary values of the electron-phonon...

Domain wall roughening in dipolar films in the presence of disorder.

We derive a low-energy Hamiltonian for the elastic energy of a Néel domain wall in a thin film with in-plane magnetization, where we consider the contribution of the long-range dipolar interaction beyond the quadratic approximation. We show that such a Hamiltonian is analogous to the Hamiltonian of a one-dimensional polaron in an external random potential. We use a replica variational method to...
